Musée d’art de Joliette

Under the guidance of its executive director, Jean-François Bélisle, the museum will hold the exhibition Jean-Paul Jérôme: Lyrical Abstractions from October 5, 2019 to January 5, 2020. It has been organized by the museum’s curator of collections, Émilie Grandmont Bérubé, in conjunction with guest curator Constance Naubert-Riser, an art historian widely known for her expertise in the work of Québec and Canadian painters of the 1950s, who has written a detailed analytical biography of the artist Jean-Paul Jérôme for the catalogue accompanying this exhibition. Following its showing in Joliette, the exhibition will be available for a tour of other venues in the rest of Canada, as well as in Europe.
