Success and Gratitude for the Exhibition Jean-Paul Jérôme: The Timeless Plasticien

The exhibition Jean-Paul Jérôme: The Timeless Plasticien, presented at the Maison de la culture Claude-Léveillée in Montréal, concluded on February 23.

This event paid tribute to both the 20th anniversary of the passing of Jean-Paul Jérôme (1928–2004) and the 70th anniversary of the launch of the Manifeste des Plasticiens (February 10, 1955), for which Jean-Paul Jérôme was a lifelong standard-bearer.

The exhibition generated strong public interest, drawing an exceptionally high number of visitors.

Guests had the opportunity to discover the artist’s inspiring journey through more than 60 major works that illustrated the evolution of his creative process.

“We are very pleased to have helped raise awareness of the work of a pioneer in Quebec art history, who spent much of his life in the Villeray neighbourhood.”
— The team at Maison de la culture Claude-Léveillée

“I extend my heartfelt thanks to the many visitors, to the media for their coverage, to the City of Montréal for its support, and to the team at Maison de la culture Claude-Léveillée for their professionalism and enthusiasm in preparing and managing the exhibition.”
— Robert Jérôme, Co-curator of the exhibition,
Nephew and rights holder of the artist

Jérôme Art International is seeking to tour this exhibition throughout Quebec, other Canadian provinces, and France. View the information-reel video HERE (French only).
